The Surf Responder & Ocean Safety Summit is a two-day intensive workshop designed to build essential ocean safety, emergency response, and risk management skills. Through a blend of classroom learning and hands-on practical application, participants will gain the knowledge and confidence to better prepare for and respond to emergency situations in and around the ocean.
This course is open to surfers and ocean enthusiasts of all backgrounds, skill levels, and abilities. However, participants must be able to swim in order to take part in water-based activities.

SAT Day 1: Ocean Risk Management / CPR & AED / First-Aid & Medical Interventions / Spot Analysis / Safety Equipment
SUN Day 2: Emergency Action Planning / Mindful Breathing & Apnea Training / Water Rescue & Extrication

Successful completion of the course includes:
Adult/Child/Infant: CPR/AED Digital Certification Card (G2020) from Health & Safety Institute (HSI)
Official BWRAG Surf Responder Certificate of Completion (fulfills eligibility requirement to purchase the Patagonia PSI vest)
***STUDENTS MUST COMPLETE BOTH TRAINING DAYS IN FULL IN ORDER TO RECEIVE THE BWRAG SURF RESPONDER CERTIFICATION.***
Participants must register in advance.* Summit limited to 50 participants. Registration closes when all available seats are sold out. Partial attendance is permitted, but strongly discouraged. No discounts will be provided for partial attendance.
*Refunds for Registration Fees will be issued in full for cancellations requested at least seven (7) calendar days prior to the first day of the Summit. No refunds will be issued for cancellations that occur fewer than seven (7) calendar days before the first day of the Summit.
