Join BWRAG in Ericeira for the first ever Surf Responder & Ocean Safety Summit held in Portugal on October 24-25, 2025.

The Surf Responder & Ocean Safety Summit is a two-day training designed for surfers and ocean enthusiasts of all backgrounds, skill levels, and abilities. This course teaches essential ocean safety skills combined with hands-on practical application to help you respond confidently and effectively in emergency situations — for others or yourself. This course will be taught primarily in English with Portuguese support for those who need it.

Day 1

• CURRICULUM: Ocean Risk Management / CPR / First-Aid and Medical Interventions / Spot Analysis / Safety Equipment

Day 2

• LOCATION (AM): Hotel Vila Galé Ericeira (Conference Room), Largo dos Navegantes 1, 2655-320 Ericeira, Portugal

• LOCATION (PM): Beach location (exact location to be confirmed)

• CURRICULUM: Emergency Action Planning / Mindful Breathing & Apnea Training / Water Rescue Training (Unassisted Rescue, Surfboard Rescue)

Official BWRAG Certificate of Completion provided upon graduation. (This certification qualifies students to purchase the Patagonia PSI vest. The Certificate of Completion must be presented to Patagonia to begin the purchasing process.)

*Refunds for Registration Fees will be issued in full for cancellations that are requested at least ten (10) calendar days prior to the first day of the Summit. No refunds will be issued for cancellations that occur fewer than ten (10) calendar days before the first day of the Summit.
