BWRAG is headed to the South Bay for the Los Angeles Surf Responder & Ocean Safety Summit hosted by South Bay Boardriders September 20-21, 2025.
The Surf Responder & Ocean Safety Summit is a two-day training designed for surfers and ocean enthusiasts of all backgrounds, skill levels, and abilities. This course teaches essential ocean safety skills combined with hands-on practical application to help you respond confidently and effectively in emergency situations — for others or yourself.

LOCATION (PM): Hermosa Beach between Beach House and 16th St.
CURRICULUM: Emergency Action Planning / Mindful Breathing & Apnea Training / Water Rescue Training (Unassisted Rescue, Surfboard Rescue)
REGISTRATION FEE*
Early-Bird $525 / Regular Price $600
Successful completion of the course includes an optional Adult/Child/Infant CPR & AED certification through Health & Safety Institute (HSI). All students will participate in the hands-on module, but you may waive this certification if you already possess higher training credentials (ex. BLS, EMT, etc.)
Official BWRAG Certificate of Completion (qualifies students to purchase the Patagonia PSI Vest; completion of a BWRAG training is a prerequisite for purchasing a Patagonia PSI vest. A BWRAG Certificate of Completion must be presented to Patagonia to begin the purchasing process).
*Refunds for Registration Fees will be issued in full for cancellations that are requested at least ten (10) calendar days prior to the first day of the Summit. No refunds will be issued for cancellations that occur fewer than ten (10) calendar days before the first day of the Summit.
